The film

Tahimik ang Gabi is a short film by Leading Lines Production, made for the short film event at Saint Louis University's Battle of the Bravos 2024. The team won Champion on 15 June 2024 at the Maryheights campus.

My part

I handled the sound effects and the edit. I sourced the effects from sound libraries, layered them into the scenes, and mixed the final audio. I cut the film in DaVinci Resolve.

What it taught me

Sound carries half of what people feel in a scene. The film also taught me to trust a team: each of us owned a part, and it came together.

Looking back

I rushed the final mix, and there are levels I would fix with more time. I would also record more of my own sounds instead of leaning on libraries.
